A free-form, porcelain soap dish that was thrown on a wheel then altered by throwing it on a stone slab then shaped and dried in a cotton sling.
It was fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees allowed the glazes time to run, mingle, and produce colors that are rich and complex.
The spiral design raises the soap out of the water in the dish and it has a drain hole.
About 7 inches long and 4 inches wide.
