Stoneware Clay. Food Safe Glaze.
This stoneware bowl was thrown on the wheel then fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees and a controlled slow cooling allowed the glazes time to produce colors that are varied, rich and complex, including two nice "drips" that make it look like the glaze is still running off the bowl.
About 7 1/2 inches wide at widest points and 4 inches high.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
