Stoneware Clay. Food Safe Glazes.
This stoneware cup was thrown on the wheel and fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees and a controlled slow cooling allowed the glazes time to mingle, run, and produce colors that are rich and complex. There are nice "drips" that make it look like the glaze is still running down the side of the cup. The one-finger handle is comfortable.
About 3 1/4 inches high and about 4 1/4 inches wide. Holds about 2 cups.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
