This extra-large, stoneware dog bowl was thrown on the wheel and fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees allowed the glazes time to run, mingle, and produce colors that are rich and complex. Wider at bottom so it will not tip over and heavy enough to make it harder to push across the floor.
10 1/4 inches wide at top and 11 1/4 at the bottom. 4 1/4 inches high. Holds about 18 3/4 cups (over a gallon).
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
