This pitcher was fired to 2300 degrees for strength, durability, and vitrification (wouldn't leak even if it were not glazed). A long heat soak at peak temperature allowed the blue glazes on top of the silky white glaze time to run, mingle and develop rich and interesting colors.
Makes a great centerpiece vase, too.
9 inches high and about 7 inches in diameter at the bottom. Holds 8 3/4 cups.
Food safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
