This large, stoneware dog bowl was thrown on the wheel and fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees allowed the glaze time to develop a rich, interesting blue.
Wider at bottom so it will not tip over and heavy enough to make it harder to slide across the floor.
About 8 1/4 inches wide at top and 9 1/4 at the bottom. About 3 1/4 inches high. Holds about 10 1/2 cups.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
