This stoneware vase was wheel-thrown and fired to 2300 degrees for strength, durability and vitrification (which means it wouldn't leak even if un-glazed). A long heat soak at top temperature and a long, slow cool allowed the glaze time to produce a rich, deep color.
About 4 3/4 inches high and about 4 1/2 inches wide. The opening is 1/2 inch.
