This porcelain mug was wheel-thrown and fired to 2300 degrees for strength and durability. The porcelain clay used to make it is made from the purest (and most expensive) kaolin in the world (New Zealand kaolin).
It is a takeoff on the big, heavy restaurant mug. The weight when full of coffee, tea, or whatever makes the handle a little less comfortable (like some restaurant mugs). It also keeps coffee hot a little longer
About 4 1/2 inches high and about 4 1/4 inches wide. Holds 2 1/4 cups.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
