Simplicity at its best. Just a small bowl that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand while you whip up lather.
The inside of the bowl is left unglazed so that the slightly rough texture of the stoneware clay (locally dug from a nearby creek bank) makes it easy to whip up lather. The bottom half of the outside of the bowl is left unglazed to make it a little easier to grip. The picture with brush and lather is of another bowl.
The matte yellow glaze has some nice "drips" that make it look like the glaze is still running down the side of the bowl. It also has some pinholes.
It was fired to 2300 degrees for strength and durability and slow cooled to give the blue glaze time to develop depth and variation.

Food safe and okay in the dishwasher. Also safe in the microwave in case you want to melt shaving soap into the spiral in the bottom of the bowl.
