This stoneware, covered butter or cheese dish was wheel-thrown and fired to 2300 degrees for strength and durability. It was held at peak temperature to give the glaze time to develop depth and variation.
The plate is 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The dome and plate are about 3 1/2 inches high.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave, dishwasher, and even the oven.
