This stoneware dog bowl was wheel-thrown and fired to 2300 degrees for strength and durability. It was slow-cooled from peak temperature to give the blue glaze time to develop depth and variation.
Wider at bottom so it will not tip over and heavy enough to make it a little harder to push across the floor. This one is has high sides which makes it a good water bowl or makes it harder to scatter food on the floor.
While the glaze drips look good, some of them hit the kiln shelf and had to be ground off. Take a look at the picture of the bottom. I took $6 off the price. (A tall bowl of this size is normally $24.)
About 5 1/4 inches wide at top and 3 inches high. Holds 3 1/2 cups.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
