CERAMIC SOAP DISH #7 handmade stoneware clay soap holder

Sorry, this item has sold.

A free-form, stoneware soap dish that was thrown on a wheel then altered by throwing it on a stone slab then shaped and dried in a cotton sling.

It was fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees allowed the glaze to develop depth and variation. The weathered bronze green glaze works well with the dark burnt red color of the clay.

The spiral design raises the soap out of the water in the dish. It has a drain hole.

About 6 1/2 inches long and 5 inches wide.
