This stoneware shaving bowl is easy to grip and feels good in the hand.
The inside of the bowl is left unglazed so that the slightly rough texture of the clay makes it easy to whip up lather. Comfortable, no-slip grip.
It was fired to 2300 degrees for strength and durability. A long, slow firing gave the glaze time to develop depth and variation and to run and form "drips" that make it look like the glaze is still running down the side of the bowl.
About 5 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/4 high
Food safe and okay in the dishwasher. Also safe in the microwave in case you want to melt shaving soap into the recessed spiral in the bottom of the bowl.
