This gestural, stoneware stand with an iridescent gazing ball is a nice focal point for any landscape. It is small enough to be an accent to a garden without distracting from the real beauty of the garden--the plants.
The stoneware stand was thrown on the wheel and altered for gesture and movement. It was fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees allowed the glazes time to run, mingle, and pool.
It is strong enough to withstand the cold, heat, wind and rain. The rainbow mirror ball is stainless steel so it will hold up a lot better than the traditional glass ball.
With the 4 1/2 inch ball on top it is 18 inches high and 9 inches wide at the base.
