This stoneware knitting bowl with a cane handle was fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees allowed the glaze time to develop depth and variation.
There are no sharp edges to tangle or cut the yarn. The bottom is extra thick for weight to keep the bowl from tipping over. The design has been tested over the years by many knitters.
The cane handle is all natural cane. Even the knot at the top and the rings that hold the handle tight are handwoven cane, not plastic or wire.
4 inches high (not counting the handle) and 7 inches wide.
Everything in this shop is handmade and one of a kind.
