A translucent porcelain whiskey cup with spiraling slip and a porcelain "ice cube".
This wheel-thrown whiskey cup is made of a translucent porcelain that is made from the purest kaolin in the world (mined in New Zealand). While it was being thrown a slip from the same porcelain was applied in a spiraling motion making the tumbler almost look like it is still turning and the slip sliding off. It was fired to vitrification for strength and durability.
Keep the porcelain cube in the freezer and use it like a regular ice cube. It will cool your drink almost as much as a small ice cube and, unlike ice, will not melt and water down your top shelf whiskey.
About 2 3/4 inches high and about 3 inches wide. Holds almost 1/2 cup without the "ice cube".
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
