This small planter is made of white and pale gray colored earthenware clay. The two colors are subtle and show up best on the bottom of the pot and saucer. Everywhere else it is more smoky.
Like terracotta it is porous. This allows air and water to flow through the pot which prevents root rot and soil disease.
It is fired high enough to be much stronger and more durable than mass produced earthenware pots and traditional native American earthenware. It has a small hole for drainage and a saucer that has been treated with a sealant to keep it from leaking. Okay indoors or outdoors.
Everything in this shop is handmade and one of a kind.
2 3/4 inches high and 5 wide at the rim. The inside middle is about 4 inches wide.
