This stoneware vase was wheel-thrown and fired to 2300 degrees for strength and durability. A long heat soak at top temperature gave the glaze time to develop depth and variation. The glazed part contrast nicely with the burnt-red color of the raw clay. The "drips" make it look like the glaze is still running down the side of the pot.
About 5 3/4 inches high and 7 1/4 wide. The hole is about 1 1/4 of inches in diameter.
Everything in this shop is handmade and one of a kind.
