This small planter with saucer was made of white earthenware clay. Like terracotta it is porous. This allows air and water to flow through the pot which prevents root rot and soil disease.
It is fired high enough to be much stronger and more durable than mass produced earthenware pots.
It has a small hole for drainage and a saucer that has been treated with a sealant to prevent leaking. It also comes with a small shard to keep the soil from falling out or the hole becoming clogged. Okay indoors and outdoors.
3 inches high and 4 1/2 wide at rim.
