This large, round, terracotta planter with saucer was made of wheel-thrown, locally dug clay that when fired to the right temperature comes out a nice terracotta color and is porous. This allows air and water to flow through the pot which prevents root rot and soil disease.
It is fired high enough to be much stronger and more durable than most terracotta pots. (Many of which aren't real terracotta.) It has a small hole for drainage and a saucer that has been treated with a sealant to prevent leaking. It does not come with the macrame used in the last picture to show that round planters also work well as hanging planters.
6 inches high, 9 wide at lip 6 and 5 3/4 deep. Outside middle is about 9 3/4 inches.
Everything in this shop is handmade and one of a kind.
The burnt orange color may be a little brighter or duller depending on your screen.
