Something nice for your dog.
This large, stoneware dog bowl is divided. This slows down the dog that quaffs down food too fast and it provides a way to offer two kinds of food in the same dish and it makes an okay chip-and-dip dish.
It was thrown on the wheel then fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees allowed the glazes time to run, pool and produce colors that are varied, rich and complex. See detail picture. Nice "drips" that make it look like the glaze is still running off the side. Wider at bottom so it will not tip over and heavy enough to make it harder to push across the floor.
About 9 3/4 inches wide and about 2 3/4 inches high. The inner ring holds about 1 1/4 cups. The outer ring holds about 4 1/4 cups. Filled up to the outer rim it holds about 9 1/2 cups.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
