This stoneware bowl was thrown on the wheel, altered, then fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees and a controlled slow cooling allowed the glazes on the outside time to run, mingle, pool, and produce colors that are varied, rich and complex. The glaze inside the bowl is food-safe, satin silky white with just a tad of blue.
About 10 inches at the two widest points and 4 3/4 inches high.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
