Pack butter into the lid and add about an inch of cold water to base so that the water creates and airtight seal. As long as your house stays below 80 F and you change the water every several days the butter will stay nice and fresh for a month or longer.
This porcelain butter keeper was wheel-thrown and fired to 2300 degrees for strength and durability. The porcelain is made from New Zealand kaolin which is the purest (and most expensive) kaolin in the world. The clear glaze is food-safe.
About 3 3/4 inches across and 3 inches high. Holds one stick of butter.
