This large, stoneware dog bowl was thrown on the wheel then fired to vitrification at 2300 degrees for strength and durability. Slow cooling the kiln gave the glaze time to develop interesting variations and depth.
Wider at bottom so it will not tip over and heavy enough to make it a little harder to push across the floor. The height helps keep food in the bowl instead of on the floor and makes it a great water bowl.
About 8 1/2 inches wide and 3inches high. Holds 9 1/4 cups.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
