Stoneware Clay. Food Safe Glazes.
This stoneware bowl was thrown on the wheel, altered, then fired to vitrification for strength and durability. A long heat soak at 2300 degrees and a controlled slow cooling allowed the glazes time to run and produce interesting colors.
About 7 1/2 inches at the two widest points and 4 1/4 inches high.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
