This stoneware dog bowl was wheel-thrown and fired to 2300 degrees for strength and durability. A long heat soak at top temperature and a long, slow cool allowed time for the glazes to develop colors that are varied, rich, complex. See detail picture. It also has some nice "drips" that makes it look like the glaze is still running off the pot.
Wider at bottom so it will not tip over and heavy enough to make it a little harder to push across the floor.
9 inches wide at top and 3 1/4 inches high. Holds 10 3/4 cups.
Food-safe. Okay in microwave and dishwasher.
